Very smooth right out of the box and lubricated well. All I had to do was tighten the handle and spool it up. Line lay was level also although they do include adjustment washers if needed. We will see how well it holds up against the Centron 500 and Piscifun Flame 1000 which are nearly identical to each other and slightly smaller and lighter than the Zephyr.

Put a couple hundred fish over the rail with this reel so far. Buttery smooth. Flawless function so far. Will be replacing other crappie reels with Zephyrs.

Very light, smooth, and easy. Handle the bass and walleye great.

Product was used and broken upon delivery. Was out of the bag in the box spooled with line that was tangled and in the gearbox of the reel. Hopefully I receive a replacement that is new and usable
