Works great
Had a bad year with mosquitos and I filled this up and two others every night for months. I need a larger version.

Maybe not a good buy
It doesn't actually zap the bugs plus the light died quickly.

DID NOT WORK ! DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM !
I got this BUG ZAPER because of it's Maker or Manufacturer " BLACK & DECKER " ! Well I am SORRY to say that this is the FIRST time that I have been VERY DISAPPOINTED in getting something with this BRAND NAME ! ! For the first time there ITEM has failed me MISERABLY ! OK, so it claims that it is NOT Electrical .... then why does it have a PLUG IN CORD and a BLUE BULB to ATTRACT the FLYING PESTS or what ELSE that is flying around ! OK I'm NOT an IDIOT, I know that if something has a light bulb it needs to be plugged in for it light up; BUT why the METAL FINGER'S; WHAT are they supposed to do ? ? ? ... Why is it NOT ZAPPING the Flies OR what ever else that it is SUPPOESD to KILL ? ? ? I did NOT get it touch with Black & Decker on this matter ... BUT .... When I called AMAZON to Order another ITEM which is similar to this one I also told them about the one that I have now and that it WAS NOT WORKING ! WELL Customer Service IMMEDIATELY gave me a REFUND for it SO that I can get the NEW BUG ZAPPER ! .... THANK GOD for there wonderful CUSTOMER SERVICE which are very understanding / carrying and helpful ! .... I DO NOT RECOMMEND this ITEM to ANYONE ! ! !

Won’t Get the Big bugs
I use it inside and it will kill little bugs that come in contact with it however a bigger fly or moth that make it way into the trap the area to get to the zapper is to small to get those bugs. It is good quality and light weight for inside, but don’t think it is effective to kill much more than a fruit fly.

Very effective, but empty the tray often.
This Black & Decker device is very effective at capturing flies. Most of the flies will go into the device and not make it back out. But some smart flies are able to go in, get zapped, then come back out of the device. But the flies that are able to escape are usually injured and easily extinguished. I did learn that if you do not empty the tray that catches the flies, you will soon have many more brand new flies coming out of that tray. These are usually baby flies, and they appear to be able to get out of the tray and escape through the bars of the device. I am not a fly expert, but I believe fly eggs are being laid in the carcasses of the dead flies that are in the tray. So when those new flies hatch, you have many many more new flies in the house. But that does not seem to happen if I keep the tray, empty on a regular basis -like every day or two.

Ineffective zapping in even a simple environment; dead after a month's use
Here is what you need to know about this unit: - Apparently, due to the short size of the cord, if you don't use a heavy duty 3-prong extension cord, like they would in machine shops/auto shops/etc, then the light being projected is dimmer and the unit won't be as effective. I can't verify this claim. - A few days after a month had passed, the unit just stopped working. I don't now if it's the unit or the light bulb inside, but what I do know is that, either way, it stopped working after a month's use, so there's that. I'm sure that neither the unit nor the light bulb is supposed to go out that quickly. - I used the unit inside and it got a couple of gnats and a mosquito, but I still had some flying around who seemed to just ignore the zapper, so I can only guess that the unit doesn't do that well attracting the insects to it. - I got what I paid for, and a little LESS, it seems.
