Avoid at all costs. Product ordered and used once and then battery not working- and you can’t get a replacement battery from anywhere. Terrible product and terrible support. Yamaha agent in UAE claimed they do not service it

We had one of the older BRP scooters, large, heavy and cumbersome to use. So it did not get used as much as it should have. Saw this at Boat Show in West Palm in March and ordered it immediately, ended up getting off Amazon due to lack of availabilty. We use it off our boat and storage is always an issue, not with the Jet Pod, it is very compact and easy to use. Now it is used almost every time we go into the water, easy to re-charge although a second battery would be usefull due to how popular and easy it is to use. I think it is very well made and top quality.

We purchased the JetPro in early June. Less than two weeks later, it would lose traction in high gear. We sent the JetPro to a service center in Florida. Because we had opened the front cover (to check if anything was stuck in it), the warranty was voided. We were told that “a rope” might have been stuck in it and that the battery would need to be replaced. Cost of the repairs: $500. We ordered the battery separately from the Yamaha licensed site (because it is not available on Amazon). Another $500. The battery failed to charge after one week. We sent two messages using the contact details from the site, and one email using the listed email address and called several times. We never received an answer, nor were we able to contact anybody by phone or leave a message. Amazon cannot help and gave us the phone number for the music instruments division of Yamaha. So, no help there either. The JetPro is a wonderful machine. I had waited 40 years to find something like that. Total cost: $2,000, no support, and no hope to have it work again (I won’t buy another battery until they can confirm that it is not the charging station that is problematic). Very disappointing. Stay away.

Small but stronger, excellent !

Bought this twice. Had to return the first one because the battery wouldn't charge and returned it immediately. The second unit stopped working after running it after a few minutes. Based off other reviews this product looks to have obvious quality issues. Save your money and your time and look for something else.

We purchased two of these and the motors on both locked up in less than a year, despite thorough rinsing after use. Costs more that the unit to repair. Lots of fun, but needs to be re-engineered.
