Great winter tire...kinda loud
Hard to find a 285/70 R18 tire. This is a great tire and is excellent in the snow. It is stud-able tire but I left it w/o the studs. I also own the Toyo MT that I swap out with this tire during the warmer months. This tire is louder that the Toyo MT but quiter than the BFG MT in the same size. Handles better than the BFG on the highway but not as smooth as the Toyo on the road even with the least aggresive tread pattern. Bottom line it is a superb winter tire. Much better on icy/snowy roads that the BFG All-Terrain KO2 or either the Toyo or BFG MTs. If you don't live in snow country or only visit it 1-2 times a year I would get the Toyo MT. If you have snow frequently in winter months get this tire or better yet do what I do and swap em out with the Toyos during the summer. One star deduction for louder than average highway noise and the high cost.
