Amazing knife set good quality. I order 2 different versions for my wife and she chose the Asian version of a knife set but these did look amazing

Comes pretty sharp out the box been using it for a 3 years and still holding edge and and quality, you can use put them in dishwasher but i don’t recommend it bc the heat doesn’t treat the wood very well it didn’t ruin mine I just stopped washing them like that cause the wood didn’t like it to much

Great deal for the price. These knives look very nice and work well. As some others have stated the wood starts to splinter a bit after a while, but it has barely happened to mine and it doesn't affect the performance or feel. I'm not sure but it may be some people putting them into the dishwasher (which you should not do). I love the variety of the knives and the stick sharpener. I would recommend.

Apart from the visually appealing aspect - hammered highly polished carbon stainless steel looks gorgeous - these are VERY sharp and cut with ease. The wooden handles give them additional "heft" - much better than the plastic lightweight handles that are so prevalent nowadays - so you feel as though you are using a superior kitchen instrument. I don't have a dishwasher, so I hand wash everything and these are very easy to clean. Just make sure you dry them immediately after rinsing to avoid "water" spots accumulating on the blades. The wooden block has printing against every slot identifying which knife goes where in the block. My only "gripe", if you can call it that, is with the block itself. The exterior is finished with a nice dark wood stain, but the opening and all the way down inside the slots is just bare, unfinished, and I suspect, untreated wood, so I must wonder about any potential damage to the block itself from inside should you get any water splashes on the inside of the slots where the knives sit. Apart from that, beautiful, functional and excellent craftsmanship.

Knife Block Set for Dummies! LOL 😂 Beautiful knife block set and it's definitely idiot proof. I mean it's perfect! Each knife 🔪 is stamped with what type of knife it is as well as the top of the wooden block. Great idea. That way you will always know which knife goes into which slot, also, the font on the wooden block is very stylish. The blades are made of High German Carbon Stainless Steel 'Made in China' 😂.The other thing I love about it is that it matches the wooden handle of my coffee pot perfectly. I also like the straight, upright design, it gives you more room on the countertop and it won't block the view of my cute distressed nesting crate. As I always say "It's all about the Looks" LOL I also love the black blades. The packaging is amazing, each knife was individually wrapped in 2 plastic sleeves with a plastic protective cap on the tip of the knife. Like I said: "Idiot proof!" LOL 😂 Only drawback about the design is that I will either have to tilt it or move it out from under the cupboards in order to take them out. Unlike other blocks that have a slanted angle, however, they also take up more space. Tried the Chef's knife for the first time last night to slice some chicken tenders and you won't even have to slice the meat. Just push the knife down the meat falls apart. Be careful, they (at least the one I tried) are as sharp as a razor, if not sharper. I Love It!!!

It's very nice set. The power cord and instruction manual was missing. Once set up I waited and watched for at least an hour and I never once saw the automatic sharpener work. They appear to be very sharp. I wish I had known it was not a good idea to use them to trim my toenails. That was probably in manual. They look very good in my kitchen. They seemed out of place on my bedroom nightstand so I moved them. Did I mention they looked good and are very sharp and pointy. I forgot to mention pointy. They are nice. I recommend buying them. My wife told me to say you needed bandages if your husband is like hers.

Wouldn’t recommend. They came and they’re not exactly sharp. Nearly cut myself on the chopping board due to bluntness of the knives. Upon arrival the stand it comes in had imprints like the knives had been in it already which says to me it was potentially used before?

This knife set is very good looking, they are sharp and the set includes a rat tail sharpener. I purchased these to replace an expensive well known brand that after many years of use were falling apart. I was very happy to feel the ergonomic shape and the weight of these knives. They do not have hollow handles so are very well weighted. Even though i suffer from arthritis in my hands, the weight makes them easy to use, as i am not forcing the blades through, the weight works in my favour. I never put my knives in the dishwasher, but cannot attest to the longevity as have not had them long enough. The price was very good for a full set of chefs knives, with the wooden block. Plus the rats tail, a pair of scissors and 6 steak knives.

Just to clarify the handles are metal, not wood. The knifes also come unsharpened. Otherwise the knives look great and have been doing the job so far.
