Awesome litte sensor. DO NOT CONNECT TO LIVE WIRING.I had all power disconnect while tracing wires on vintage control equipment. Works as advertised.

I like this one better than the fluke, but that's a personal preference.

Esta muy bien el producto, si bien ya se ve que es algo usado hace muchos años en las lineas telefonicas, cuando se le da otro uso para identificar cables, como los que tiene un auto, ayuda bastante a localizar fallas, posiblemente haya herramientas diseñadas para eso, pero para mi caso, con esta, estoy muy bien, lo recomiendo.

I'm no longer doing comm work, but was very active in the communications field for years. This toner is fairly 'old-school' which kind of means easy to use and reliable. I have used it on various types of circuits, from POTS wires, to data lines, to house wiring (no voltage!). Worked great in all cases. Tone is easy to hear, which is great for those of us missing a lot of our younger abilities in that area. It's simple, rugged, and good quality.

P Professional electrician here. Although this is made for tracing telephone lines, and it works well at that, I also use it for tracing UNENERGIZED! power lines to find if they are good, and approximately where the fault is if they are bad.

Feels cheap but gets the job done.
