My story with specs and all
I have had Phoenix for a long time. It has been used off an on as need for many months. So lets look at the first time shall we? My 'specs' : - Year 2015 - Male - 230lb - Height 5'11 - Diet 2000-2100 calories daily - I was taking the following supplements while using Phoenix: LEGION Triumph - Daily Multivitamin for Women and Men, Best Workout Multivitamin, All-In-One Bodybuilding Multivitamin with Minerals, Energy Multivitamin That Really Works - 30 Servings, 240 Capsules LEGION Whey+ - Best Whey Protein Powder for Weight Loss, All Natural Whey Protein Isolate, Lactose Free Whey Protein, Best Bodybuilding Whey Protein Powder Isolate - Dutch Chocolate, 30 Svgs, 1.91 lb Nordic Naturals - Ultimate Omega, Support for a Healthy Heart, 180 Soft Gels I go into great detail about this because I believe ALL vitamin supplements are -extremely- dependent on the person and their diet and exercise. The results I will write are for me and my situation. The Review Phoenix Consumption Trial 1: Product was taken with Breakfast and Lunch. I took this product weighing 230lb during 3x a week resistance training at the gym. During my workouts I forgot my original goal was weight loss and was consuming WAY more food than my fat butt needed. I kept doing it though because the gains in my lift were huge and I sorta just forgot about my weight. Anyway, I started taking Phoenix due to the quality I have come to expect from LEGION and with the intention of losing some pounds. Plus I kinda just wanted to test his product. Without changing my diet and eating 2000-2100 calories daily I started losing weight at about .25lbs the first week and it eventually snowballed into about about .5lbs a week from there out. After about 3 weeks I realized the product was clearly working and lowered my calories down to about 1700-1800 and began losing 2lb a week. This was to be expected though as I discovered that at about 2000-2100 calories my weight just idled, so I had plenty of fat to burn at 1700-1800 calories. I road that fat loss train all the way down to 190lbs with a consistent 2lb a week loss. At the end of this I was at about 1600 calories daily as I had to stop going to the gym due to not respecting the weights (oops). This ends Trial 1: Phoenix Consumption Trial 2: Product was taken with Breakfast and Lunch. Well Christmas came and Birthdays arrived and I was still out of the gym due to injury. I had boosted my weight back up to 210lbs and configured my diet to 1600 calories and started with just eating better. At the time I was not taking Phoenix. Due to not going to the gym in such a long time my metabolism must have crapped out as I was not losing or gaining weight. Hey I have an idea......Phoenix :) . So I tested it again while doing 1600 calories daily. Surely enough something kicked in and I began to see weight loss again. Well played Mike. After a few weeks I began regular exercise to boost things up again and am now at 198lbs. The Result: Short story. It works if you know what your doing. This is a natural supplement, not a solve your cake eating problems pill. I cant see how this wont cause weight loss if you already track calories and just need a small edge. If you just blindly eat clean or healthy or poorly or whatever you want, there is no possible way you can prove this is doing anything. You need to either accept that it is, or do math like I did. Or just accept my math, whatever floats your boat. Side Effects: The product claims it does 3 things. Lets review how it affected me: 1) Weight loss. a) Obviously, just read the saga I wrote above. 2) More Energy a) Honestly....I cant speak for this. I was already taking great supplements and eating very very good. I felt like I could crush the world, so if I got even MORE energy from Phoenix, I have no way to actually track that. I surely didn't feel less energetic. 3)Fewer Cravings a) Yes. This is true and I noticed this without realizing it at first. I bought this with weight loss in mind and never considered the 'Fewer Cravings' part because I never cared about that. During the trials of Phoenix there were many times I would have to eat a small breakfast and a few hours afterwards I was confused as to why I just didn't really feel that hungry. I was always hungry after a s***ty breakfast like a granola bar. Well, every time it was during Phoenix. Please be aware that the "Fewer Cravings" in Phoenix is the 5-HTP and the effectiveness is only there WHEN TAKEN WITH FOOD. As well as the product increasing the thermic effect of food (Synephrine). ONLY take Phoenix with your meals and try to use the biggest meals of the day or you will lose effectiveness guaranteed. The science is there, but its up to you to follow it accurately. Just take it as the bottle says. All in all this is a very well made product that gives you a slight edge in weight loss. Its by no means needed in the slightest way as you can easily combat weight loss by proper dieting. However if you want to give yourself every edge then Phoenix can and will help you. If anyone has any questions let me know and ill be happy to answer. I hope this helps some of you out there. The insane TL:DR: The product works if the following applies to you: 1) You understand its giving a slight edge on your already proper diet / Exercise. (This isn't a free pass to Burger King) 2) You understand how the product works so you dont take the supplement improperly. ( Taking them with your biggest meals and not taking all 4 pills before bed because you 'forgot'. Your fault) 3) You recognize this supplement was designed with your health in mind first and weight loss second. ( A healthy way to lose weight without destroying your body in the process )

Attempted, but beware; only negative comments from me unfortunately.
I'm just ending my 30 day trial of this product and I have to say that the product did not do anything positive, as was advertised, for me. It actually appears the advertised effects impacted me negatively. The product boasts three fat loss/burning effects: *More Energy, *More Fat Loss, and *Fewer Cravings I took this product every morning and afternoon with my meals. In the morning, typically taking with caffeinated tea as to maximize the effects by taking with caffeine. My breakfast either consisted of an egg + egg white muffin or/and orange juice mixed with one scoop of Maximum Vibrance(https://www.amazon.com/Vibrant-Health-Vibrance-Multi-Supplement-Futurefood/dp/B00SK661Q8?th=1). For lunch I typically meal prepped high fat, high protein and low carb options: including ground turkey, ground bison, chicken breast and some vegetables (typically asparagus or sweet potatoes). I am a 30-35 year old male, this is the first "fat burner" I've ever tried. 1/10/17: before taking this product I weighed 201.5 lbs and had been out of the gym for about two months. 1/24/17: I purchased a new gym membership and started taking this product, I weighed 204.5lbs 1/26/17: All of my stats except my weight are the same, same waist and chest size at 38in and 42in respectively MyFitnessPal Weight Stats: 1/1: 201.2lbs 1/12: 203.6lbs 1/20: 204.8lbs 1/31: 203lbs 2/09: 202.2lbs 2/15: 205lbs 2/26: 208.8lbs Strava Run Stats (*Not all activities logged): JAN 23 - JAN 29: 6.5mi JAN 30 - FEB 5: 8.1mi FEB 6 - FEB 12: 5.4mi FEB 13 - FEB 19: 6.9mi FEB 19 - FEB 26: 6mi (Admittedly I've been running less with more time spent in the gym, I assumed while taking a fat burner ) Pros: ** None Neutral: ** *Fewer Cravings: Perhaps provided slightly fewer cravings at times, although this product never once killed any desire to not snack or over indulge ever. Negatives: ** *More Fat Loss: Gained a total of 4.3 lbs ** *More Energy: While taking this product I felt increasingly more tired throughout the week and on the weekends even when I was able to sleep in. I would frequently needs naps after work (after working 6:30AM-3:30PM, I would get at minimum 7 hours of sleep at night, I typically run 2 miles after work every other day and walk with my dog immediately after work every day) I'm going to post a follow up to this post after another month off of this product to see how things have changed.

The best I've used
I've been using Legion products for well over a year now, having started with Phoenix as part of a cut. Fat burners I've used in the past include OxyElite Pro (before the ban), HydroxyCut, and BSN's thermogenic (I do not recall the name). There is no question that my best results have come while using Phoenix. I will hedge that statement by also mentioning that my diet has been at its best while using Phoenix and I'm more experienced with weight training than I was when I used the other products I mentioned. Even so, when I was at 20% plus body fat, adhering to a clean, calculated diet, and sticking to an (relatively) intense 5-day training regimen while using OxyElite Pro (which I consider to be the second most effective fat burner I've used), the rate of fat loss I experienced then ("easy" fat I call it - those of you who have made a big cut know how much quicker the trip from 20% to 15% can be than 15% to 10%) was not nearly as impressive as when I used Phoenix (15.3% down to 9.5%). Pros of Phoenix 1. No jitters - I have high caffeine tolerance and I suspect some amount of jitters I experienced using the other products were related to non-caffeine ingredients. Can't prove it, but that's my intuition - I know my body pretty well. I love that I can still drink coffee in the morning. Lastly, and most importantly, Phoenix not having caffeine makes me feel a little better about using Legion Pulse, the pre-workout formula (which I recommend as well) which includes caffeine. 2. Easy to swallow pills - Aside from vitamin D, these are the smallest pills in my supplement stack, which includes a multi-vitamin (Orange Triad), fish oil, and green tea extract upon waking. 3. Effective when used correctly - if you take the correct dosage, maintain a caloric deficit (this is essential - you absolutely cannot lose weight unless you use more energy than you take in), and engage in a vigorous strength training/cardio regimen, you will lose weight. Period. What surprised me most was that, on my trip from 15.3% to 9.5%, I didn't plateau at 10-11%, which has happened in the past (to me and others I know) without significant diet changes (e.g. low-carb, intermittent fasting/fasted training). Cons 1. As with any product, it may not be right for you - I know many who desire caffeine in their fat burner and I can certainly vouch for its effects. For non-coffee drinkers and non-pre-workout users, this may rule Phoenix out for you. The product's effectiveness, Legion's outstanding customer service, and the transparency about the ingredients and simple (but effective) explanations backed by science make this a five-star product, in my opinion.

Seems to work but a learning curve for the stomach upset
I love Mike Matthew’s books and started taking this supplement while getting ready for TLS. I feel I have been losing more overall weight than expected, however, am experiencing strong stomach discomfort and nausea. I’ve tried working my way up to 3 capsules with food, but so far, the only way for me to keep these downs is with two. Aside from the days when the nausea hits, they do curb my appetite plenty and I still have plenty of energy to workout and perform other daily activity.

I'm a skeptic - yet I can honestly say these products work and i'm a fan!
Normally I don't write reviews, but I had been trying another supplement (old school labs vintage burn fat burner) and it wasn't doing much for me at all compared to Phoenix and seeing the vast difference, I thought I would share. I was NOT compensated for this review whatsoever just FYI. Especially being a woman because I feel like all of these reviews are from men lol. I have been using both Forge and Phoenix together. I built up to the recommended doses (I'm a female, trying to lose body fat, 170 lbs 5'7). My workouts in the morning have been legit. I can tell a difference in my power and speed, especially with lifting and HIIT. The only thing I really can't do it longer distance fast running because sometimes my heart rate gets really really high and I can't breathe (like if i'm doing a fast timed mile). But I don't do that much anymore anyways because it's not super beneficial to my goals. With HIIT and weights, both forge and phoenix are really great. I have already seen results after a couple of weeks. I've lost 5 lbs! And I struggle with metabolic inflexibility and have been at a plateau for a few months, which I think isn't unique to women but pretty common. With Phoenix I almost FEEL like I've drank caffeine without it actually having that in it. It makes me feel so alert. At work I get SO MUCH done. I feel really productive and clear headed. It's an awesome feeling. I'm really happy with the products. I also really like Legion's whey as well. I have tried others and Mike is right, the taste is so much better. I also like that his products are backed by science. I listen to his podcast and the guy know his stuff. I am really skeptical with the supplement industry in general just because everyone knows that companies are always trying to cut corners somewhere to make more profit, at the expense of the consumer. I even went into trying Legion's stuff with that in mind, thinking I would make my own decision when trying the products whether or not they were just like everyone else's! But honestly, I do see a difference and can now say I am pretty confident in these products and would recommend them to other people, which is saying a lot coming from me. Thanks Mike for your products and for being an honest company that people can trust. - Sarah ([email protected])

Did not work for me, but that does not mean it won't work for you.
I want to start off by saying that I am a supporter of Legion. The supplement industry is incredibly sketchy and cryptic, therefore it's refreshing to find a company that is transparent about their ingredients and usages. I have used Legion Pulse, and loved it. If you're out of pre-workout, and looking for a new one to try, go for that one. It is spectacular. HOWEVER, this particular supplement did not work for me. Now, there are tons of factors that could contribute to that fact. I am fairly strict with my diet, though not to the calorie, so it very possibly could be that the variability in my intake is too significant. The problem I had was the way my body responded to the supplement. As many have mentioned, this did a bit of a number on my digestive track. I also felt like my workouts suffered somewhat. And undoubtedly, this should absolutely be taken with food. I felt substantially nauseous the one occasion I took it without. And although I cannot attribute my lack of significant weight loss to the ineffectiveness of the supplement I can pretty confidently attribute the side effects to it. Now since that is largely a negative review, I want to address why I gave it three stars. Legion has been very responsive and invested in getting to know my experience. I replied to their email mentioning that the product did not work well for me, they were quick to respond and seek out resolutions. It is quite possible that my experience is relatively uncommon. I'd imagine many experience the side-effects, but their bodies are more responsive to it, and therefore the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. Some of the details of nutrition, such as supplementation, are quite variable. So I don't have any intention of drawing conclusions about the effectiveness of a supplement on the overall population by my one experience. They received three stars because Legion has proven it is interested in the satisfaction and well being of it's customers. Read the reviews and be aware of how it might affect you. Perhaps it will work well for you. Probably a smaller chance you have my experience. If the latter is the case, you can be sure that Legion will do what they can to make sure you are happy. They generally will refund or replace if you are unsatisfied. That to me, marks a commitment to their consumers.

Fat burning at it's finest!
This is an interesting product. On one hand you have people who think the pill is filled with magic dust that summons the fat fairies to nibble all the fat away without any effort put in by the user. On the other, the pill is an opportunity burn colossal amounts of fat on top of the 7 days they already workout, and when given a week it's written off as not showing results. There is a fine line with "Fat Burners" (most of which are a WASTE of money). There has to be time and discipline put into an authentic workout routine that is proven. There is so much "Advice" for gaining the optimal body. Whether it be with a diet routine that cuts out all the "Bad" food, you know, stuff that isn't green and tasteless. Or a workout routine that only takes two weeks to drop 42 waist sizes.....*cough WATER WEIGHT *cough.... There is a lot of wack advice out there that when twisted a certain way can be (in commercial man voice) "The NEW weight loss secret everyone is talking about" There are few Proven ways to optimally loose weight and even build muscle if you want to. Mike Mathews is somebody with the body to back up his word. Everything that Legion puts out has a strenuous amount of research behind it and links to non bias studies that have fact behind it, NOT fad. Phoenix is filled with 9 scientifically proven ingredients that AID in the process of fat loss, not create the process for you. There is a full breakdown of every ingredient and a list of studies that back them on www.legionsupplements.com. This is a wonderful tool, because you are loosing upwards of a few hundred calories on top of what is already being lossed in a week of a genuine fat loss and muscle building routine. (Life's best anti-depressant). It just takes time! This is an aid to the process, a mere tool to add to your arsenal. Check out "Bigger Leaner Stronger" by Mike Matthews. Phoenix on top of that routine is a recipe for success.

Buyer BEWARE!
So I had AI help me find a product with both 5-HTP for cravings, and forskolin-the power house for fat burning. Co-pilot found this product and claimed it had forskolin, but when I checked the product label (August 10), it did not. After a bit and later in the day I decided it was time to make a final decision between products-and went to recheck this product label AGAIN-and there is was!! In BOTH the stim free and regular. It now showed forskolin on the product label! So, I thought I must have made some kind of mistake when checking it the first time. There was NO mistake on my part-in what I saw-I stared at it a lot because I was so surprised I had thought it wasn't there before! So, I ordered, and a day later-today, it arrived-NO FORSKOLIN! So now- I have to obviously send it back after I had already promised my brother I had found him a product! What a hassle just so people can be dishonest. AI says that some dishonest companies will do this-have their listing rotate between the old label and the new so that they can continue to sell their product for that old ingredient even though they removed it-and replaced it with something cheaper and way less affective. Depends on when you look-I guess-what you will see-but the reviews are not based on the new formula. So-if you are reading the reviews-beware-these reviews are NOT with the forskolin removed! Both can't be true at the same time...if the forskolin had already been removed when these reviews took place, then why would they have still had the false ingredient list up on the 10th-so now you will have to pick a different product. and none on Amazon have both together now with both the 5-HTP and forskolin combined.
