BritishBasics Mattress Stain Remover 500ml

I had a lot of big old stains all over my spare room mattress (make up, coffee etc) and this removed all of the stains with just 2 sprays. First spray got rid of the most prominent ones and once dried the second spray addressed sections that were less obvious that I missed spraying initially. I didn’t expect anything from this product so very pleased and would highly recommend even for old stains.

Overall this product is good value for money. It doesn't fully remove the stains but it does lighten yellow stains. Don't expect your stains to be gone. I have used it twice (sprayed generously on both spray mode and stream mode) and the second time the stains got lighter. They are still clearly visible to the naked eye but a lot lighter. I would recommend this product but I feel it probably works better on fresh stains than old dried stains. I also used my carpet cleaner on the mattress and feel that this lightened the colour somewhat too. I may spray a third time in a few weeks and see if that helps lighten the stains further.

I was sceptical about if this product would work or not to remove a pet stain that's been in my grandchild mattress for months. this one product worked first time. It's easy to apply, I am truly amazed at the results and will buy again if ever I have a problem. I've tried other supermarket type brands but nothing is as good as this.

I don’t often review my Amazon purchases as it’d take forever based on how often I order things but this is the best £6.50 I’ve spent in a long time so only right I share my experience! I was quoted £90 to have our mattress professionally cleaned after our cat pee’d on it and they basically told me to chuck the £1200 mattress in a skip “as you never get cat pee out, it’s one of the strongest smelling stains” but I took a chance I my goodness it’s paid off! I followed the instructions and generously sprayed all the various stains (the cat pee patches plus some general sweat patches, baby milk stains from when I was doing night feeds and even a mug of tea that got spilt). Left it to dry over night and to the naked eye the next day, ALL the stains have gone and there’s no smell!!! The two dark patches in the attached picture are the cat pee but they are no longer visible to the naked eye AND I have since repeated the process and they are now completely gone! I’m truly amazed! I really didn’t expect results like this for such little cost and will be ordering some more to do the kids mattresses now too!

This item has leaked and I hadn't noticed. Left in the delivery box it came in and just went to read instructions to use & there is only 1 inch of solution left in the bottle. Some is contained inside the plastic bag it's wrapped in but had to waste it while opening. Any return has now expired by a week I've noticed so pretty annoyed with the product and it's packaging. This could be an isolated case or it could be the company issue supplying defective bottles. EDIT, I have raised 1 star to 3 stars because I used the product I had left after a leakage and it worked fantastically well on sweat marks over the sponge patterned zip cover of a £2000 Tempura mattress. I wanted to try this rather than take the cover to dry cleaners & it worked great so happy days despite a leaked bottle supplied.

Day 1 sprayed lightly, no result. Day 2 spray extra and finished the bottle, still no difference. For a strong chemical that's supposed to remove different stains it was odourless and ineffective. I believe I've been sold a very expensive bottle of water. I only purchased it to remove sweat marks on a mattress.

Easy to use and like in other reviews some stains needed two or three applications . Pleased I bought it.

Used on a couple of stains on 2 mattresses. After first used stains faded but not entirely cleared. I think a couple more tries may remove the stains completely.
