I was a bit hesitant about this purchase due to the reviews they were getting but I was I need of this so I went for it. It worked great! When they said you need to open them up it’s not a big deal it’s just a pop. The material holds pretty good. They look cute I used a board on the bottom cake just to have more support and obviously the top has it’s own board as well. I was able to get the 4 rods with no problem. I love them

I bought these for a cake that I’m doing. I bought them because I believed the columns are hollow. most of them are not completely hollowed out (up towards the top of it). There’s the holes not complete , some of them don’t even have the hole( just the indent )and I’m praying that they’ll be stable enough to hold the cake. The whole point is to put the dowels through the columns but it can’t be put through them unless I drill hole to make the hole that is supposed to be there… so fingers crossed. I’ll update my review after I use them because it’s too late to return them. UPDATE: They weren’t the sturdiest but they worked, though the dowels are smaller than the holes in the separator plates, I used buttercream as a “glue” in a pinch.. Didn’t come with directions either which is kind of ugh.. Directions would be nice..
