Pipe Lighter with Metal Tools Angled Soft Flame Butane Gas Refillable Gift for Men (Sold Without Gas)

Initial thoughts are that it is well made and ready to spark a light. Everything so far feels solid - lighting mechanism, flame adjustment and the tools. Time will tell how it holds up to several times a day use as I've had other lighters that feel and work as well as this, but after a month of use, start to feel loose and cheap. Flame adjustment is good, from a small flame to a large flickering inferno. I've activated the piezoelectric to spark a flame about 20 times, with no failures. The lighter looks great and the leather is a nice touch. The lighter is on the small size and there's no liquid butane window to check the fluid level. We'll see how long it can go on a single filling. Overall it initially seems like a good buy.

Love this thing! Every pipe smoker knows that our lighters are different from Cigar lighters, especially if you've roasted the bowl of your nice Savinelli with a Jet endine torch lighter. The flame is nice and soft. It comes out at a great angle and made my first bowl a joy to light. The fact that it costs less than a tenth of my Dunhill that I lost is really appreciated. But the "Special" part of this lighter is the tools actually work!! I was sure they were going to be a gimmick and I'd never use them, but the scraper is very solid. I'm super impressed. So I don't have to carry a pouch to hold all my tools if I'm going out for a quick one bowl stroll. If you're a pipe smoker I think you will be pleasantly surprised by this lighter.

Great look and features. So-so performance. PROS: great price, good looks, handy tools, and a very convenient size. CONS: very small fuel reservoir - only lasts 3-4 smokes and the flame size is very dependent on fuel level. This isn't a bad lighter, but you need to have a fuel source available if you plan to use it for more than a few smokes.

Purchased for use with pipes after getting sick of running through BIC lighters too quickly. Pros: -Adjustable flame (once correctly dialed in) makes it easy to get exactly the length you need. -Side lighter makes it easier to angle flame without burning fingers or heating lighter -Tools are EXTREMELY helpful for removing stuck ash or tamping down. Cons: -Wouldn't fill up correctly at first. This is far from my first butane lighter and I've never had any issues getting it filled properly, however this lighter had issues taking butane at first, despite following directions (dust or something could have been blocking the whole from the factory). -Flame Adjusting is finicky and highly dependent on fuel level. Small increments sometimes would yield a MASSIVE flame, felt hard to dial in and required readjusting every few uses -Ignition system is hit or miss. Not sure if this is user error, but it often requires me to click down once before the flame will actually ignite, which is tedious -Tools are tightly packed and difficult to bend out - think Swiss Army knife. Again, this could be user issues as I have large hands and trim nails.

It works, but I don't know if it's leaking.Butane or the capacity for butane is so small that you only get a few lights before you have to refill.It disappointed looks like a quality build, but if it doesn't light.But four or five times before it's out of butane, something's wrong

The lighter looks great and feels good in my hand. It is designed with a side flame for lighting a pipe. I like the appearance and the handy hinge out tools for packing, scraping, and poking. The soft flame lights easily with a piezo-electric switch and should not damage your pipe, while reducing the burning temperature of your tobacco as compared to a torche but it also goes out easily in any type of wind or air movement. I often have to relight it while drawing on the pipe, sometimes even in still air. That is the price paid for not using Zippo as I don't care for the the whole lighter fluid experience. So far it seems to be holding butane well and is easy to use. I would recommend if you can handle relighting.

Could be really cool if it had a bit more size too it. It would be a much better product if it was scaled up by 25-33%, it still wouldn't be large. For my use I at this size I don't recommend this one. It wont last me a full day the tank is so small, cannabis user only. It doesn't feel good in the hand either from the sharp edges. That is minor but seems so easy to fix. Re-filling is easy enough but for whatever reason it take a second to make a firm seal.
