Harvesting Knife
The Fiskars harvesting knife is a fantastic tool if you do any kind of gardening, trimming, or produce harvesting. The blade is sharp and sturdy, making it easy to slice through stems, herbs, vegetables, and tougher garden growth without much effort. It has that classic Fiskars reliability — solid construction and a blade that holds its edge well. The handle is comfortable and easy to grip, even when your hands are wet or you’re working for a long time. It feels balanced and secure, not flimsy or awkward. The included sheath is a nice bonus, keeping the blade protected and making it easy to carry around the garden. If you want a dependable harvesting knife that makes garden tasks quicker and cleaner, this one is a great choice.

Always cuts like a knife
This is a great all-around gardening knife—versatile, durable, and designed to handle a variety of tasks. Whether you're cutting, chopping, or sawing through plant stems, this knife gets the job done efficiently. It feels solid in hand and comes with a protective sheath for safe storage and easy carrying around the garden. One thing I always consider when buying tools is the warranty—and Fiskars doesn't disappoint. They offer what I like to call a “buy once, cry once” warranty, meaning a Full Lifetime Warranty that backs their products for the long haul. That kind of guarantee shows real confidence in their craftsmanship. If you're in the market for a reliable gardening knife, I’d definitely recommend this one. It’s a tool that works hard and is built to last.

High Quality and Lifetime Warranty
It's all the features I wanted in a hori hori, plus an extra one I didn't know I wanted; the forked tip is handy for prying sturdy roots loose, and is durable enough that I'm not concerned it will weaken the tip. I was looking at similarly priced traditional ones, but they all had reviews stating that the blade would break in half at the handle when used for digging. Sturdy traditional hori hori can cost over $100, so I decided I'd give this Fiskars version a try since I've always been happy with their other lawncare tools and utility scissors. The stainless steel blade is permanently moulded into the plastic handle, and by using a magnet it seems that the tang extends just past 3/4 of the way down (stops at the orange part). The included sheath holds the tool securely and the clip is wide enough to grab onto large utility belts. It's quite stiff, so you'll need to wear it on a spot that's out of the way of your legs when walking. There are drainage holes at the bottom, so it's quite easy to hose clean (though I ways wipe the blade clean on my pant leg before sheathing). I've never had any Fiskars plastic become brittle or crack, even when carelessly left outside for years, so I expect this sheath will be no different. I've so far used it for digging planting holes, aerating the soil around a root base, digging up weeds, cutting dried up flower stalks, and removing sod that had encroached into a planter bed. It performed to my expectations in all tasks. I'm very happy with the build quality and don't anticipate it will sustain damage anytime soon, but if it ever does Fiskars has a very generous warranty. It's a bit goofy looking, and not everyone likes the orange/black Fiskars colors (though I appreciate the high contrast / visibility when I absent-mindedly set it down on the green or brown ground) but this is most likely the best value hori hori you can buy.

Excellent and useful tool.
I shopped around for this style tool. I’m happy to find a decent hori hori that fits the hand, requires little care, comes with a useful case and seems strong. I wish fiskars had more European production going on, but their designs are generally good. I really wanted to start using a hori hori and I’m pretty happy to have selected this one. Handle fits well in the hand, blade is sturdy and sharp (use gloves!), case is solid with a good belt clip (not easy to sit). It works well in the soil for weed control, makes holes for plantings, cuts through mulch bags. The forked tip could be a problem. I chipped one point early on in use. Maybe it would be better if they were rounded off - or came to a point. (I liked the look of the Corona and would like to try it as well, but something about the composite holster on the fiskars version made me try this one first.) I’d recommend with some reservations.

Alot better than you’ve read!
Wow, pretty amazing! First off this is way better than the reviews say! Of course they were older and Fiskar may have listened and improved the shortcomings? The sheath holds the knife very securely and seems very durable! The blades is stout, not wimpy or too thick! It arrived sharp and is easy to touch up, a hard steel! It’s my new fishing knife. Kind of machete like to! And look at the price, amazing!

Favorite garden tool
So handy in the garden, one tool for many tasks, great for cutting and prising out weed roots and sawing small diameter tough stems and pruning soft fleshy stems, loosening and opening planting holes, cutting open bags, light cultivating around plants, cutting twine for supporting tomato branches etc. Very nice belt looped holster made of a hard cased plastic material which stays open instead of flapping closed when knife is removed makes it easy to return knife to holster....knife is held in safely with a satisfying click to lock in the holster.
