The thing I like the most about this blanket is that it gives me the cozy feeling no matter how cold my room temperature is.

Got my blanket yesterday, that sucker was heavy (I got the 18 lb. one). It was already encased in the "faux fur" cover which was cool because it was super duper soft. I got nervous not knowing if this could've been a return and I really wanted to use it right away and didn't have patience to wash it. So I took my chances (it didn't smell funny). It came with the "cool" cover also which resembles a sheet. Now, let me start by saying I'm one of those people that get HOT in the middle of the night. My legs literally catch fire. So bad like I used to stand in front of an open fridge at 3am or put cold wash rags on my legs. I knew this would be a challenge w/ fur and 18lbs but I was up for it. First thing I noticed was I only woke up about 3-4x last night when typically I wake up like 10x per night. I only woke up because my legs got hot and I had to shift them around. But I def stayed asleep longer than normal and that was remarkable. My kid tried to sneak in my bed and get under the covers so that woke me up b/c I had to fight him off as to not disturb my weight distribution ratio. He learned a valuable lesson. If you get cold or stay cold, THIS IS PERFECT FOR YOU. I was just too damn lazy to figure out how to change out covers and I wanted to go to sleep asap. Maybe I'll try tonight. But overall, this thing was great. Lived up to it's expectations. It's def pricey but I think it's worth the investment esp to get a good night's rest. I suffer from fibromyalgia and it didn't bother me at all. For reference, I'm 5'6" and 185 lbs, I got the 18lb 60x80. I would've enjoyed 48x72 but 12 lbs was too light. The size was pretty big. But I think 20 lbs would've been ideal.

I ordered this blanket because I was hoping it would help my husband and I sleep better. Never a morning person, I now have a job where I wake up between 3:30 and 4 am every weekday. Getting a good, restful nights sleep has been hard simply because this is not a natural sleep schedule for my body. My husband also has trouble sleeping. He wakes up early like me; and, he is an army veteran who suffers from PTSD. We had both read a lot about weighted blankets and really wanted to give one a try. I had seen smaller ones in the store for the same price, and decided to try this one based on positive reviews, the included two covers, and that it was described as "queen size." 60x80 in was much larger than the blankets I had seen, and I though this one would fit nicely on our queen sized bed. I suppose I should have measured, as the blanket barely covers the top surface of the bed. This would be fine if only one person was sleeping under it, or we slept pressed against each other in the center of the bed all night. When we both turn to our respective sides of the bed to really fall asleep however, the blanket quickly falls into the divot between us at the center of the bed, and neither of us benefits from the warmth or, more importantly, the weight of the blanket. I considered returning it, but we decided to keep it as a napping on the couch blanket, for which it is perfect. I have since ordered a larger 80x90 in "king sized" blanket to try on the bed. While I understand that weighted blankets are not designed to hang far off the sides of the bed like a quilt/comforter, a little overhang is necessary to keep the blanket in place when their are two people sleeping beneath it.

I was very excited to get a weighted blanket as I have a lot of anxiety. Almost all the reviews were 5 stars and everyone had good experiences with it so I decided on this one. I went with the queen size, 18 pounds. I was going to get the 15 pounds but decided I wanted a bigger size. I was unsure about 20 pounds so I decided on 18. Well the blanket is a lot smaller than the measurements say. I measured it and mine was the size to fit the top of a double bed and definitely did not fit the top of a queen bed. I returned it and got the same one thinking maybe they sent me the wrong one and the second one was the same size. I was disappointed as I love big blankets. The weight does not feel like 18 pounds. It feels like 10 when I am under it and I wish I went with the 20 pounds. When you hold the blanket in your arms, it feels like 18 pounds as a total (according to most people) but to me it still felt light. Overall it’s a good blanket but not the best. I wish it was heavier and bigger like the measurements said. The bead distributions is fine. I think the square patches could be smaller to make the blanket heavier but it’s not my biggest concern. I will say my dog loves the blanket and she will sleep on it and kick me off of it so it has her approval. Overall it’s an ok blanket. There is definitely worse but there are also better weighed blankets.

I bought this blanket because I'm both a sufferer of anxiety and a hot sleeper, so my hope was to both find a blanket that wouldn't make me uncomfortably hot while also providing me the same experience many have claimed to have with weighted blankets regarding less tossing and calming the mind. Unfortunately, this did not help with my issues and only exacerbated a different one. Firstly, the heating cover is definitely soft and the cooling one is cool to the touch. However, the cooling cover I got had what looked like a splattering of water stains or something on it. As for the heating one, I can't use it at all because my cat loves microfiber and was immediately kneading it with her claws as soon as I opened the package. Its also a bit of a struggle managing the cover with such a heavy insert, but that's probably a given so I can't dock points for that. Secondly, I didn't experience anything in terms of a calming feeling. Yeah, it kept me a from tossing, but my mind still raced as it always does. I also wouldn't say it "feels like a hug" like so many others say. Its more like if someone laid a blanket over you and then buried you in sand. Third, its a bit loud. Minor movements are fine, but if your partner is a light sleeper, you getting in and out of bed will absolutely wake them up as this sounds similar to the shuffling of a plastic grocery bag or something when moved. And lastly, for my own personal problem: My back. I'm currently recovering from chronic back pain due to my spine getting misaligned. As such, I use pillows such as knee pillows to keep everything straight and in place. The extra weight from this blanket seems to throw all of that off, compressing the pillows too much, making my body bend just enough to bring back my back pain while trying to sleep. Overall, I'm sure its a good blanket for those who feel it works. As for myself, it didn't work at all, and I can't recommend it to anyone who suffers from similar back pains as this may just cause you issues.
