I love love LOVE this shampoo bar!!! From the 1st use I had no issues with it. My hair's really loving the ingredients and I see the difference in my thickness, texture and curls since I began using it over a month ago. Every wash day is a luxurious experience because it doesn't take much to get a thick, rich lather. I haven't even used 1/8 of the bar yet and I've used it every week, two washes each week, for over 6 weeks now. I'm sure this will probably last me a year before I have to get another one. And I'm definitely getting another! This is now a staple product. Even when I clarify, I use this immediately afterwards and it leaves my hair clean but not stripped. Amazing product!

A few months ago I started the curly girl method. I started by using diva curl low poo shampoo. However, I started getting horrible dandruff and itching, which I had never had before in my life. I was about to give up on the curly girl method when I decided to order some chagrin shampoo bars. Now I use their shampoo bars every few days and the itchiness has almost entirely disappeared and the dandruff has significantly declined and it seems to get better with every use. My favorite bar so far is the ayurvedic shampoo bar. Highly recommend if you are transitioning to the curly girl method!

I like that this is a natural product for hair. I have been reducing the number of products I use on hair and this definitely is a good replacement for shampoo.Pros:It cleans the hair and scalp well without drying out the scalp. It reduced my hair fall in shower. Easy to use.Cons:Can be a bit drying initially.so I apply oil on scalp and hair for 30 mins before washing off with this bar. Helps soften the hair.It gets better with each wash. So patience is the key. Natural products need time to set in but are good in long term.

I was very hesitant to stop using traditional shampoo and try using a "shampoo" bar, My hair was terribly damaged and falling out more than normal for my age and health conditions, so I decided to give it try. This product delivers on ALL its claims! My hair fall is back to normal, my hair is super healthy, not dry and in need of constant deep conditioning, and much more full of body and feels so silky, and I'm only on my second bar. Fantastic product!

Cons: The shampoo leaves your hair very matted (as if the shampoo hasn’t been washed off properly). That’s the biggest con. According to the packaging it’s supposed to help make your hair shiny and bouncy. It also really doesn’t help with itchy scalp/ dandruff. On the contrary, the matted texture that it leaves behind, together with an itchy scalp make it worse.Pros: Smells great and lathers well. Also, I think my hair has been growing faster since I started using this shampoo. The box it comes in is recyclable, and it’s cheaper than other natural vegan shampoo bars.

I used this shampoo for a while, but my hair was always dry, and my scalp was always itchy and irritated. I also was not a fan of the scent it left in my hair. I switched to Ethique and am much happier. Chagrin Valley uses palm oil in lots of their products, so I'm glad to not support them anymore.

Leaves my fine straight hair feeling funky and heavy. I tried it many ways rubbing it in my hair directly, rubbing into my hands then massaging it in, using a scalp massage shower brush. It just never really worked my me and my hair type

soap is never meant to be used as shampoo. Period. I tried several, hoping I could move away from liquid shampoo. No matter which brand, they always left a film, that easily turned my hair greasy, as well as my brush covered with a white coating. No, I am not going to do that extra step with rinsing with a vinegar wash - irritating to the skin. The surprising thing that occurred, was that it made the skin on my EARS breakout! Who would have thunk!
