Terrible taste and very stuck together
This product is in a large lump. It has a very bitter and terrible taste. It is not at all what I was expecting or hoping for. I will not purchase again nor do I recommend. The taste in back of throat even woke me up in middle of night. It was not pleassant. It is non refundable.if you want really good true licorice go to licorice. Com. That is where I am staying from now on. This product is old and gives heartburn.

Gustaf's is the best.
I was on a quest to find the original licorice laces I enjoyed as a kid. To that end, I ordered a bag of Kenny's Strawberry Laces (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000LSJEHG) and a bag of Gustaf's Licorice Strawberry Laces (this item), both from SweetGourmet. Both packages arrived on time and in perfect condition (kudos to SweetGourmet), but the taste and consistency of the two laces couldn't be more different.tl;dr: Gustaf's is the best.Gustaf's laces were sweet, flavorful, thin and flexible, and broke/bit easily. The flavor is intense -- almost "icky sweet" in a good way -- and pretty close to what I remember giving me a sugar rush as a kid. The Kenny's laces are just the opposite: flavorless, thick, tough to break, and almost stale. I'm not sure if I got a bad batch of Kenny's laces, but I cannot recommend them. Gustaf's Licorice Strawberry Laces were the clear winner and are now on my Wish List for future reordering.

Probably Good, but Not What I Needed
Probably good candy, but turned out not to be what I was looking for. I needed fairly stiff shoelace licorice to make mice cookies. This was too soft, flexible, and thick. I personally don't like licorice but this was adequately tasty. Better than true licorice. It also came in a huge package so I had tons that I ended up throwing away. I only needed about 4 strands.But if you like strawberry gummy candy this will likely be good for you.

They lasted 2 days.
3 laces are 110 calories. I ate the entire bag alone in 2 days. I’m pretty sure that is about 2-3 pounds right there. The flavor is absolutely delicious without a chemical or fake taste. It’s perfectly sweetened and the texture is wonderful without being too hard or too soft. I can’t believe I ate the entire bag ALONE!!!
