I love this curling iron. I have had trouble finding one that is easy to use and has a decent barrel size. And heats up nicely. I have owned one like this before, but lost it. This was worth replacing. I have difficulty with larger barrel sizes because my hair is not long enough in the places where I need the curve. My hair will not respond unless wrapped around a barrel small enough in circumference, but not too big. Hence, the curve works with my fine hair, which will not be smooth enough in a larger-barrel curling iron unless I use additional styling tools—double damage. Unless you want more bells and whistles, you will be happy with this good-quality item. It is basic, with the on/off functions showing, and you need to make sure to turn it off. If you want to gift something, you might find it cost-effective to pair it with other hair products, like a heat styling leave-in product and clips to keep the hair sectioned like they do in the salons. I must use Amazon's gift delivery service because I live far from my loved ones. This is cost-effective and a tried-and-true method that still has a place in today's world. This is a product you can use carefully, yet you don't have to worry about the smell unless you push it with too much heat or products that aren't meant for heat styling. The speed and average temperature are easy. It will hold up well if you have the type of heart that usually responds. My hair is not straight and has a bit of natural wave. Though if you have straight hair, I think the medium barrel, or smaller one, will work well, especially with hair products for the body. For me this has great hold. Enjoy!

Works exactly as described. I love Conair products and this is a nice addition with personal settings for desired temperature and curls. Nice quality as all Conairs. Makes my hair curly or wavy depending on the settings.

Worked perfectly. Quick heat-up, solid. Bought to make ringlets in my little girl’s hair for a play and the 1/2” size was just great.pinned the curls up as they cooled to create even longer lasting curls.

Nice iron overall. Haven’t had any issues turning on or off or finding a good heat setting for my hair. My only complaint is that the dial for the heat setting is an awkward place and I find myself accidentally changing the temperature while I’m using it.

Good value. Works perfectly. Purchased a second one for my office since the one I have at home has been going strong for many, many years.

I’ve been trying a few of the more expensive curling irons and have been so disappointed. I am an older adult with arthritis and limited mobility to reach the back of my head. My hair is almost to my shoulders are somewhat thin. I like the ability to adjust the heat so that the iron won’t hurt my hair or burn my skull! I find it easy to use and the price was perfect!

Great curling iron! Heats up nicely, tension spring clamp is perfect. Easy to handle and I get good curl results. I also like the metal attached stand feature, it saves my counter from burn marks.

This should’ve gotten five stars but because it was designed so poorly, I gave it three and kind of wish I could give it only one and a half. The heated barrel is fine but the clamp only goes up 3/4 of the way so there’s a full inch of the barrel, the hot barrel, exposed with no clamp on it. Stupidly designed and it is designed so that the whole long barrel doesn’t even work to curl anything because the clamp only goes part of the way up. It’s too late for me to return this, so I am ordering another brand that has a more sensible designed where the clamp and the barrel are the same length. This was a waste of money. The three-quarter inch or maybe the 1 inch version the clamp and the barrel of the same length so they were just fine. Why they screwed up on the half inch or 5/8 or 1/4, I do not know.

Bought this as a christmas gift for my wife. It's a hard to find item at local department stores. It has multiple temperature settings which my wife loves and a auto shut off for safety. My wife has a owned Conair curling irons before, and swears by them.

Excellent... heats up in moments... only problem is now that my hair is growing I may have to get a bigger one!!!

The second i finish the curls it goes down and doesnt last although i have a thick hair… also watch out as I had to pay delivery fees to return it!
