Pet Magasin Japanese Stainless Steel Grooming Scissors (2) for Facial Hair and Larger for Body Trimming with Round Tip

I’ve had these scissors almost 5 years now. They are extremely sharp and precise, very well made. I don’t actually have the pet anymore, but when I did these scissors worked great for trimming cat hair and mats (including easily cutting through the mats when I was carefully removing mats a little at a time). I sent one pair along with the cat when I rehomed him, but kept the other pair because they’re just such exceptional scissors. I’ve been using them recently for paper crafts (paper snowflakes which involves cutting through several layers of paper very precisely and a lot of small cuts and detail work) and they work far better than any other scissors I’ve used, especially those actually designed for what I’m using them for!

Great, smooth cutting scissors, love the rounded tip edges! Can’t believe they’re so inexpensive? I use them on my dog but can clearly be used on peoples hair too! Two sizes also 👍🏻 nice.

After reading the reviews of a lot of scissors, we decided to try these with the understanding that they may go dull quickly. We have now used these on our two dogs several times and they are GREAT! They came out of the package very sharp and they continue to be sharp. In addition, I really like the rounded tips as it makes me much more comfortable trimming around my dogs eyes. Also, I really like the length of the blades and the fit of the handle, they are very easy to manage and they are VERY comfortable to use for an extended amount of time. I would highly recommend these scissors.

If you could give half stars it would be 4 and a half. I'd say that is pretty dang good. I tested them out on my Cocker mix a few weeks ago and they cut through thick abundant hair without folding hair down or bogging up. They also did not pull his hair as I cut which he appreciated. He would like it even better if scissors or clippers never came anywhere near him <G>. I like the blunt tip as well. I was looking for a "beater" pair of scissors that I could use on his feet and legs when he was dirty (clumped with dried mud, burs, etc) and overly furry I didn't have time to bath him. I have three good Roseline scissors that I use on him when he is fairly clean. Dirty hair dulls scissors faster so it is cheaper in the long run to use cheaper scissors if you don't have time to bath. My smaller Roseline scissors are comparable is size and shape (ball tipped). They are finer and narrower so they work better between paw pads, they are also sharper, better for fine tuning and are made out of German steel. These are more clunky and wider so harder to get in tight spaces. There is nothing wrong with them though. I probably would have given them 5 full stars if I didn't have my other scissors to compare them too. They far surpass my first pair of scissors from a beauty supply store. They wouldn't cut all of his hair (they would fold 1/2 and not cut) and pulled it and made him yip. You can not beat the price, especially since you get 2! Oh point of fact for left handed people, both work OK for me in my left hand! UPDATE: Still working well as of Nov. 2018. They only see use about 7-8 times a year. They don't beat my more expensive roseline sheers but you can't beat the price or quality. They are my beater sheers for when the hair is dirty and I don't want to unduly dull my more expensive ones. Update: June 2025 they are still working well as my beater scissors. I save my good ones for grooming on clean hair. I use them in-between haircuts and they work well with no problems. Oh for any lefties out there they work fine for me.

These are so sharp! I just bought a second set to have a backup pair because they are so great! I have tried SO MANY brands over the years with my dog's thick, curly hair and these are the BEST!

Outstanding scissors AND outstanding customer service. They even contacted me shortly after the purchase to be sure I knew I could contact them at any time if I have any problems, and they'll take care of it! Customer care on that level is pretty rare these days, and this company has earned my loyalty. The scissors feel high quality and strong. They have a comfortable grip and work well with my small hands (I'm a 5'1" woman), are incredibly easy to use and make beautiful cuts with no slippage. I no longer have to have a professional trim my dog, and enjoy the process very much myself. She seems to love it too. We take it slow and easy and I don't always finish at one time, but I think my sweet King Charles Cavalier just thinks she's getting a massage. The blunt ends take the nerves out of the process. I find I no longer hold my breath when trimming around sensitive spots. ;). A relief for both of us! (It would be helpful to have a pair with sharp points also. The round tips make it a little tough to get in between toe pads, if that's something you want to do.). Definitely recommend these scissors! These scissors are comfortable to use and ideal for small areas and around eyes given their rounded tips. They seem good quality (made in Taiwan) and represent good value for money.

Affordable at the time of purchase (I have noticed these fluctuate in price a lot) cut well and I like the blunt tips. They don't make a loud snipping sound which my dog didn't like on the old scissors
