Jonathan Green (10830) Fast Grow Grass Seed - Cool Season Lawn Seed (15 lb)

Great seed for fast germination

Happy with results. Soaked for a few seconds in a mesh bag for a couple days and it sprouted beautifully so I spread it out and filled the shaded dirt areas.

Grew quickly

So far so good. I am far from an expert when it comes to lawns. I used a de-thatcher first put down the seed and added a layer of Scott’s lawn soil. Raked it all in and watered it twice a day for a week. I’m hoping that this grass will last, from what I understand this is a temporary grass but it’s the only thing I have found that will take to our soil quickly. I mixed in some zoysia seed as well just in case this fails after a year as other reviewers had said. I’m located in Florida and unfortunately I don’t have an irrigation system which makes it tough to have a decent lawn. Especially one my family can enjoy. I’m sure in order to have a really nice lawn I would need to replace with sod and an irrigation system but I figured I would try this method first as the first option is way out of our budget. It looks great and I really hope it lasts. As time goes on I’ll continue the process throughout the rest of the yard and hopefully have a nice lawn we can enjoy. I’ll update if I notice any changes.

I lazily put this seed down, didn’t tend to my lawn, cover or anything just sprinkled on top and let the rain do its thing. I was feeling discouraged until I looked at my camera from the day I laid it 1/30/25 to current day 3/21/25 and realized it has taken off wonderfully and my yard is greatly improving! Looking forward to correctly finishing it in the portion that could still use some more. I used one full bag throughout my yard. Update on seeds - Sept 2025 our yard has died in lots of spots again. It has been watered twice a day and under the same care as when it was thriving but it seems the grass seed does not enjoy the summer temps and we are back to a muddy mess

A terrific product. It quickly filled in bald spot in my yard...grass came in lush and green. I liked it so much that I bought it again for other areas in my yard that I had no intention of working on!

It was fabulous! It was coming up in less than a week until the wild turkeys found it. I’ll order a new bag in the spring.
