I bought this after damaging two colanders from trying to steam vegetables on the stove. I was hesitant because I’ve never heard of this name brand and was worried it would be DOA or not work at all. I have used this machine twice only to steam vegetables and it’s been great! I first steamed green beans and baby carrots and was very happy with the results. I just steamed some rainbow cauliflower, baby carrots, and green beans and it’s pretty tender. I love how there are two tiers so you can steam two different items at once. I have not tried to steam meat or eggs so I can’t give feedback on this. The machine is also very easy to clean. Overall I am very satisfied with this purchase, it steams my vegetables with ease, it’s small enough to fit in my appliance cabinet but big enough to steam several different vegetables at once. Definitely worth the $23 instead of paying nearly the same for a good quality metal colander.

Nice product for the price. You're only 400 w it Cooks better than I thought. 400 watts is a half a cent an hour. Timer let you do other things while you're waiting. And in case you forget it shuts off. Containers hold a lot more food than I thought. I didn't feel up either but a fourth of the way and it cooked fine. For safety reasons I check the liquid level twice and a half an hour to make sure there's enough. Doesn't take up much space on the stove or countertop. I have a lot of vegetables and when you steam them more of the natural taste remains versus frying and butter grease etc it's also healthier. I'm going to try cooking other items and we'll do a later review. I'm anxious to see how it Cooks fish. To speed up the cooking, I cut up my potatoes into small thin french fry shaped slices. I'll do the same for fish and other foods where able. After I'm finished I drain the liquid out, cool it and my cats and dogs love it. It's got that vegetable taste. Thank you

This is my quick meal preparation item. Good quality and very easy to use. Easy to clean also.

Use to steam lobster tails. Still have to get used to the amount of water to add. Had it over flow on me. Operator malfunction. Food tastes fresh. Helps feed the family more vegetables and seafood. Easy to use. Set the timer and watch it cook. A bit hard to clean all the crevices.

I’ve only been using this item only a few weeks, but it steams my vegetable’s so easy, uses very little water and you can set it and fix the rest of meal while they steam. I love this and I'm going to buy a few more as gifts! Item came overnight! The packaging was exceptional as the pieces nicely fit into one another and make storing item easy. Very happy with this product.

Does a good job. Works well. Just be careful cleaning it. I just use a damp cloth to wipe the boiler/steam hot piece.

Overall good but the steam does not seem to be strong enough to go to the 2nd floor. Only the first floor is getting a good amount of steam.

Pros: Easy to use, dishwasher safe, simple and straightforward. Works well for a family of two and some quick steam needs. Cons: Space may be too small for cooking some food, like a whole fish. And if you buy this, be careful when lift the top lid after food is ready, it can be VERY HOT.

cheap quality plastic and machine, once we ON for 1st time, it was not working, same day retuned .
