I bought this to grate tumeric root for a tea concoction. I had been using a manual grater, but my hands would get stained and I would get cuts on my fingers from grating small pieces of tumeric. This does a great job.I am pleasantly surprised at how well the suction base works. It keeps the grater completely stationary on the counter with no slipping. It's easy to assemble and disassemble and I have been putting the shoot, grater attachment, and plunger in the dishwasher. However, I never use the dry cycle on the dishwasher, so I don't know how these parts would fare if you use your dishwasher's drying feature.Note: Tumeric stains everything, including the shoot to the grater. The plastic shoot has permanent tumeric staints. But I knew it would get stained prior to purchasing this. I purposely bought this grater in orange to try to blend in with the stains :)As a side note, I tried grating ginger with this and it doesn't work so well. I find that ginger is too fiberous and clogs the grater when using the fine grater attachment. You might have better luck with the coarse attachment, but I haven't tried that.I would purchase this again.

I had to have this since it is all over social media. I used it once, seems to work great so far. I thought that there was an issue with it at first since it appeared that I had to turn the arm backwards to get it to grate the cheese. Then we discovered that this amazingly handy gadget is made for right handed people. I am left handed! All I needed to do was turn it with the around with the arm on my right side and the secure knob facing towards the back and it worked just fine. It shreds cheese so fast, the clean up is easy as can be and this is one of the best items I have ever bought. Mississippi Kween on TikTok has made a believer out of me!

I love the ease of use this grater provides. Quick to assemble/disassemble. Only complaint I have is cheese tends to bind up in the blades. You have to be very diligent in pulling out the cheese as you go along otherwise you end up with a big ball of cheese shreds. Cheddar and softer cheeses seem to be the worst. Overall, I love it and use it all the time. It is pretty solid and I feel I'll get many years of use out of it. No mechanical moving parts will help that to happen. I would buy it again. Best part is it doesn't require electricity good for offgrid living.

I used to grate cheese using a manual grater and thought it would be forever like that until I got this. This grater made it 10000 times easier, no more cuts for me and my hands don't hurt anymore from using the old grater.Has a suction cup that makes it stay in place, doesn't matter how hard to try to move it. I'm in love witht this!

This product is wonderful. I was sick of slicing my fingertips with hand graters, and my electric grater and my food processor were too much work to setup and cleanup....so I decided to give this a try, and I love it.It works beautifully, not sure why other reviewers had trouble with the locking suction, because mine sticks solid to my quartz countertop. My guess is that they didn't actually turn the locking gear on the side. I don't think this was made to do really heavy grating and slicing, but that's not what I bought it for, I have a food processor for the extreme stuff.

We all know cheese is a gift to this world. I shred a lot of cheese…cause it is freaking delicious on pretty much everything. I had a box grater that was a warrior in my home for over a decade. I lost a lot of knuckle skin to that old broad….. BUT NOT ANYMORE! This thing is awesome. I can shred cheese in seconds and my knuckles are finally healing. This is worth the money and I’m saving a bundle in bandaids.

I bought this because i've had pain in my right arm and my box grater was getting harder and harder to use. This thing makes anything you'd do with a box grater 1000X easier! I mostly use it for cheese but I have also done veggies and potatoes for hash browns and it worked like a dream.You have to make sure your surface is clean and dry or else it won't suction correctly. It's easy to take apart and easy to the pieces in the top drawer of your dishwasher. I like that it has 3 different barrels for different uses.

i love it after 2 weeks of it being lost in the mail the post office lady and i did some digging and we found the canada post tracking number in china post website we both chuckled and sure enough it came up and i got the grater its an amazing rotary grater i recemmend it:)

I always thought normal hand held cheese graters would suffice. Little did I know, this little machine saves so much time and energy for grating cheese. The suction power works well when you can get it to suction, which is most of the time. Sometimes it struggles but rarely.
