Buy your own polishing pads! Cheap products always come with extra effort. In this machine's case, it's the polishing pads. With that being said, it's super powerful. That's why I'm giving 5 stars. This unit has plenty of torque. So much torque that the polishing pads that came with it just can't handle it. In my opinion, that is a welcomed issue to have. Paired with an outlet speed controller, it'll do the job of more expensive units for a steep discount. It's quiet, it's a good size, and takes a whole minute to put together with a 19mm wrench.

I build all my tool stands using simi brake drums and schedule 40-8" pipe . It makes a heavy duty stand that will not tip over. This polishing motor has good torque and suits my needs very well. Good price for what it is. No vibration. I read a review stating it was dangerous?? I've been polishing for over 55 years and have found what makes a machine dangerous is the person being careless. Treat it with respect and you'll be safe. I polish large motor parts down to custom carburetors and do it safety. It can be done. I was very happy with this polishing motor until it came loose from its base. returned for a second polisher which is solid so far, That's why you get the warranty.

This is a solid machine. Inexplicably, the small spacers that help snug the polisher discs to the shaft were too small to fit the shaft. I reached out to both Amazon and the vendor, requesting replacements for the small spacer. Within 24 hours I received notice that they had already shipped the requested parts without question. Basically unheard of these days. It’s a good machine and I’d recommend the vendor.

So far has been holding up well. Balanced and doesn't vibrate. Threading seems robust and tolerates my frequent tool changes. The lack of speed control is to be expected of this price point. Not sure why there are bad reviews regarding that. The mounting holes at the bottom are a nice touch. Reversing the base direction is an easy and simple process.

I am a "do it yourselfer" not a professional. I purchased this buffer knowing that I would not use it often, but I wanted a powerful unit. This one seemed like it would fit the bill. I've used it around 4 times for a total of about 4 hours in the last 4 years. I didn't even bother attaching it to a workbench as I knew it would not get used that often. It sits on the shelf until the rare occasion comes around where I need to buff something. Yesterday, I used it for the first time in over 2 years. It worked for a while but got progressively weaker to the point where it stopped turning. It did work well initially, but I am REALLY disappointed that it has only lasted for a total of 4 hours of use.

My old buffin wheel finally gave up the ghost, and I use it so rarely, I just couldn’t justify buyin a big name one. This on was just the right price and runs at just the right speed for my needs. I do custom leatherwork and many times folks drop off their knives needin a new sheath and the knife’s finish is a bit rough. If’n I know they ain’t real cowboys, I polish the blades a bit, cause I know they’ll appreciate the extra attention to detail when making them a custom sheath. If’n they’re real cowboys, I leave the blade finish alone so I don’t get a look of bewilderment at why I would waste time polishing a work knife. Anyways, this is a great polishin/buffer for occasional light work since it doesn’t have a variable speed. It just has one speed…on.

Super well packaged. Well balanced. Long shafts for good accessibility. Good stable base. Will receive a variety of wheels. The model title shouldn't say U.S. on it though, it's from China.
