Consistently good
I have been buying this product since the attitudes of local Starbucks employees have taken a nosedive. I used to treat myself to a sugary Frappuccino on Friday mornings but since COVID, the Starbuck employees I have encountered seem not to enjoy what they are doing or seem like they are too good to work. It feels like my fellow customers and I have become a nuisance. About the time I was starting to get turned off of Starbucks, my wife and I went to a Vietnamese restaurant where I ordered a coffee. I was reminded how good they are. When I got home, I did some investigating on Amazon. For less than the cost of 4 visits to Starbucks, I could make my own Vietnamese coffee at home. I can make the coffee while I am making/eating breakfast and can take it with me on the road. It's much cheaper than a Frappuccino and I don't have to put on a fake happy face for people who act like they don't care if we (the people who are writing their paychecks) even exist. We recently discovered another reason to buy this coffee. A couple of months ago, we didn't have enough regular coffee to make a pot. So, I added some of the Vietnamese coffee. It actually made the drip coffee smoother and more flavorful. Now we are using half Vietnamese and half Columbian, French, et al (bringing the world together) to our drip. It tastes much better.

A very bold and different taste, definitely worth a try
I'm a huge coffee lover, maybe verging on coffee snob. I have a few local roasts that I buy and really love but sometimes you just yearn for something new and exotic. This need caused me to do some research and land on this Trung Nguyen Vietnamese coffee. Don't expect regular coffee flavors from this, it's VERY different. There are hints of caramel, but then a very woody spicy flavor that walks into your mouth and takes charge. It's less coffee flavor and more coffee like drink. It's also dark, very dark. I swear I could feel new hairs sprouting from my chest as I drank every sip. As far as I could tell the coffee wasn't very fresh, but it was almost good because of that. I'm sure fresh it would be amazing, but the raw strength of this coffee was just amazing. It never failed to wake me up and made good French press, gravity or espresso. I mostly used it with a Vietnamese pressed metal coffee filter, but any sort of filter would work if you're just going to do a pour over gravity drop.

Great!
I really like this coffee. It is best when using the Vietnamese style coffee maker, but it is still good in a drip machine. For those saying it has "poison" based on the cancer warning: this is a prop 65 warning that ALL coffee sold within the state of CA is required to have as a result of the acrylamide residue created in the roasting process. Legally, any coffee sold in California must have this warning or they can be liable for suit against them. Coffee that does not have the warning and is still sold to CA consumers is in violation of Prop 65. I know this because I work in regulatory and have to do yearly Prop 65 audits. Next time you're in CA, go to any coffee shop and they will have this same warning posted somewhere in the shop (supposed to be at POS but that rarely happens). The artificial flavor is a separate concern. If you don't like the idea of artificial flavors, then don't buy this, but the label cancer warning is something else entirely. Research Prop65 and you'll see CA requires warnings on products containing a myriad of chemicals, including certain types of aloe vera and orange oil. Take it with a grain of salt. On the coffee front, it tastes great and when brewed with the Vietnamese coffee method, is strong and flavorful. I'll buy it again.

First Vietnamese coffee. It's good
This is the first vietnamese coffee I've tried. I think it's strong with a little bitterness which I'm fine with. It's a lot stronger than regular coffee but not as strong as espresso. If you dislike strong coffee you probably won't like this. You can brew this any way you would brew any other coffee but it seems fitting to brew this in a phin filter over sweetened condensed milk in the traditional way. That results in strong sweet coffee that is really good hot or over ice. You can ignore the stupid cancer warning, that warning is required in order to be able to sell anything in California. Im not going to stop drinking espresso but this is a nice alternative. The best part is that proper espresso requires either an expensive coffee machine or a trip to the coffee shop. You can make this in the traditional way in a vietnamese coffee maker called a phin for around 10$ish I just ordered my 3rd can of this and plan on adding this to my coffee habit on a regular basis

I absolutely love this coffee. It's not quite the same as what you get in Vietnam, but it's a really good compromise and it smells absolutely gorgeous. I typically use it with a Vietnamese drip filter, but I've also used it in a French press too. Either way works well, but for some reason, the drip filter just tastes that bit better. Works beautifully with condensed milk. Highly recommend!
