I just received my fridge and it was delivered damaged. I could have ordered this through Crate & Barrell or West Elm, but I went with Amazon because the delivery timeframe was much better, however, I am now in possession of a damaged fridge. People buy these fridges specifically because they are beautiful so to be sold one with a large dent is extremely frustrating. I am currently waiting on a response from the company concerning next steps and I hope they are quick and reasonable.

Bought the Smeg for the look... an art piece for our little Airbnb. Completely happy with that. People love the look. The fridge itself is basic, no frills. Doesn't feel all that solid. We have had it for 6 years and it is starting to have problems, but I can't find anyone in the entire state of Oregon who will service it. The dealer we got it from in Portland won't. Now what? The freezer keeps beeping (seal issue or sensor) disturbing guests. Can shut it off but it happens again. Am I supposed to just replace the whole thing because I can't get service? I might have to, and if I do I can't justify the price of another Smeg.

This is a beautiful appliance, but if you need one that will be something other than a pretty face look elsewhere. Ours stopped working after 4.5 years, and it is impossible to find anyone to service it. Attempts to get a response from SMEG customer service have been completely futile.
