BUYER BEWARE!!!!!
First of all, let me get this out of the way. I hardly EVER take the time to write a review. But I feel this needs to be addressed. I would give ZERO stars if it was an option. Are these pitman arms cheaper than the competitors? YES! Do they fit and do their intended purpose? KIND OF… let me explain. These drop pitman arms are ABSOLUTELY DANGEROUS. I was wheeling my Jeep WJ a couple weekends ago. Nothing extreme. Definitely no rock bouncing. Just light, casual off the beaten path trails. Everything was going fine until I heard a very loud “POP” and instantly had zero steering. I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story. So here I was, stranded for LITERALLY HOURS in the middle of nowhere with ZERO phone service. Now, imagine you are cruising down the interstate at 70 MPH and hit a pot hole and this happens… do you see where I’m going with this? You would be in a 2-3 ton missile with absolutely no way to control it. There are SEVERAL write ups and forum posts about this exact product failing just the way mine did. Check out Trail Forged Off-road’s website for more information. I suppose Rough Country got a bad batch of “pot-metal” with these. Seriously tho, spend the money on a good one. Or better yet, run the stock one. That’s what I went to on my WJ with a 6.5” IRO Rock Link Pro and it drives better than ever!
