I LOVE THIS CAMERA! I use it every day for work and for hobby. I bought it last summer, and it functions & looks new, not refurbished. I recently dropped it (1st time) and was terrified. It still works like new. Takes phenomenal photos. The zoom is very impressive, and the camera pairs up to my other samsung devices like a dream. If this had broken when I dropped it last week, I would have immediately bought this exact same thing again. I have never had a problem with refurbished items and have bought many. I love having paid half what I would have to buy it new. It would make a wonderful camera for a budding photographer. It's an excellent crossover, and a nice stop to make on the way to a dslr. I loveeeeee this camera...it's good quality and nice features...haven't used it yet....I am so excited to start taking pics of the baseball games and landscapes....the only negative is the manual is in another language and what instructions that are in English are vague...you have to e-mail Samsung for the English version and instructions...I received a reply and just printed out the manual...147 pages or you can purchase one from the manufacturer....I am not going to spend extra $$$ on something that should already come with it....please fix that !!

I bought this camera for my daughter for a recent trip. We looked at several different cameras, and finally settled on this one. She is a beginning photographer, (she is 12) and she had found it easy to use. She likes that it has editing tools and filters and good zoom. She particularly likes the grip on it; says it's easy to hold. She likes the pop-up flash and it takes great videos. A good beginning camera:)

I've had the camera for over a month now and everything works just fine. I was a bit nervous about all of the technology integrated in the camera, but am pleased with the performance and ease of use. The camera takes incredible pictures -- images are sharp and impressive. The telephoto-style lens is terrific for a camera at this price, but you will encounter 'shake' issues at the longest setting, blurring the image somewhat. The WiFi features and technology/app pairing it with my Samsung mobile phone work well. I can easily email pictures directly to my PC or cloud storage without removing the memory card -- a great function. The reason I gave this camera a 4-star rating is the problem with extreme glare in the display on the rear of the camera. It's nearly impossible to frame your picture on a sunny day. The camera doesn't have a view finder and the use of the display is a must. I would suggest that Samsung give their next generation a basic viewfinder to assist in setting up the shot in glare conditions. I would recommend this camera. You get a lot of features at this price.

I'm an amateur photographer and this is a great starter camera. I love that I can take pictures and then transfer them to my Samsung phone with the wifi connection. I have used the email and facebook connection a few times but I'm more into instagram so I just download the pictures to my camera and then upload from my camera. The zoom capabilities are fantastic. If you're looking for a good starter camera, I would recommend this one

Nice camera but the zoom leaves a little to be desired. Unfortunately no attachments are available on the market for this type of camera. I love the WiFi feature and my boyfriend downloaded an app on his Samsung smartphone to transfer the pictures easily. Overall I wud recommend another camera, esp one where attachments are available.

I gave this as a gift, but the recipient was delighted. She especially likes the built-in Wi-Fi which makes sharing photos to a phone or computer incredibly fast and easy. There's also an iOS app that lets you use an iPhone as a shutter for remote photography (GREAT for group photos - we tried this out!). Excellent photo quality for the price.

I was ready to love this camera. 35x *optical* zoom, 16 mpx resolution - it all looked good to me. But the bottom line was that the picture quality was very disappointing, and it was extremely hard to see the LCD outdoors even at full LCD brightness on a cloudy day. I was replacing a 6 year old broken kodak 10mpx camera with a 12x optical zoom, and I wish that one still worked - the picture quality was actually better, somehow. I did try most of the different settings and spent some time fooling around with it and learning to use it. I took about 150 pictures with it of some gorgeous mountain scenery, and none of them are good enough to blow up and hang on a wall. Even sharing on facebook they look low-resolution. Pros: I liked the quick button to start shooting video. The zoom is fast. The panorama function is easy to use. Cons: The image quality was very disappointing (yes, I had it set to full 16 megapixel resolution; no I did not use the *digital* zoom, which does reduce the quality even further). The mic on the video is almost useless - hardly picked up my voice at all from arm's length away. When taking video, zooming automatically causes the camera to lose focus, and it's very hard to regain it; almost impossible without zooming back out again. There are two image-stabilizing functions. Neither one compensates much when you are zoomed past about 20x. For me, there's not much point in having a zoom that big if you can only use it with a tripod. Wildlife won't sit still that long, and it's onerous to carry a tripod when hiking in the backcountry, and time consuming to set it up at any time. Bottom line: I don't know for sure, but there *must* be something better out there for this price. My old camera certainly was.

This camera is amazing. Comes ready to shoot rigjt out of the box. Battery, neck strap, lens cap, usb/wall charger are all included in the box.Has many features which Im still learning.very happy with the purchase.Love how you can control the camera with your Samsung phone.
