Great value, beautiful bike!
I read reviews and was not surprised by this bike. It is built solidly as I would expect from Schwinn and was not crazy hard to put together. I did have to adjust the derailer and it was simply a matter of turning 2 screws. Instructions are in the manual for everything you need to know and there is a customer support number provided as well. Ride quality was good. Seat is comfortable, though the seat is white so shows dirt easily. Brakes were noisy at first but after several rounds of not hard braking I was able to build up enough on the rims that they are quiet now. Gears shift easily after the easy adjustment. I purchased accessories including a basket for the front and it was easy to fit these as the design can accommodate a large basket in front. My bike did have some scuffing (can easily buff out) and a few minor dings. I plan on contacting Schwinn to see if they make a touch up kit like you would get for a car. This does not bother me as it was overall I'm good shape upon arrival. It does include wheel and front/rear reflectors which is something I wondered before I got it. Tires needed minor inflation so be prepared for that. I will update my review if anything changes, but I am happy with the Perla. The "blue" is definitely a mint/sea foam color which is my favorite. I recommend the bike!

This bike is so beautiful!
I was really worried about buying a bike online, but this bike is my BABY! It's so cute! I get so many compliments on it! My husband put it together for me with my dads help because I had no idea where to begin lol. Overall took about an hour/hour and a half even with my dad having built many bikes for my sisters and I over the years, so if you don't have experience putting them together it may take you longer. It runs very well, very smooth, the speed shifter is a little hard to change but not a deal breaker, seat is not very comfy in the butt but you could always get a new seat to suit your comfort. Overall I am very pleased with this bike, it is very well made, and it goes very well with a cute wicker basket! I have only ridden Schwinn bikes since I was a kid, and I will forever be a Schwinn girl!

Nice bike but needs work
I got my wife the pink version for her birthday and she loves it. I read reviews where people complained about the gears not set up right or the breaks I will say this bike required a lot of adjustments to work. I was a bit surprised at this I bought this bike over others that cost half as much because of the name and expectation of quality. My biggest complaint is the wheels they are so far off being straight I had to adjust the front to keep the breaks from rubbing every rotation. And the back looks like it is so bent. It might have something to do with the packaging when I carried the box from my porch to the garage it literally fell out of the box. I was expecting a lot of rub damage and missing parts but to my surprise there wasn’t any.

I will definitely not recommend this bicycle
This is the worse bike we have ever owned. I bought the bike as a gift to my wife. She loved the color and style. Upon receiving the bike, I noticed right away some issues. The brakes are not properly adjusted and when I first rode it, I noticed that the 7 speed gear was not adjusting properly (skipping gear). Not only skipping, the gear will not stay in low gear and goes to high gear on its own after adjustment. I literally work on the bike for 3 days to get it to work. My friend ended up helping me as both front and rear tire are not true and was wobbly. The rear brake was rubbing the rear rim and ended up rubbing off the paint. I wish I still had the box it came with. I would have spent the same amount of money shipping this bike back. Total waste of money! Update by the wife: I love this bike but I feel bad my poor husband spent so much time fixing it. I sit more upright than on previous bikes I’ve had so it’s comfortable. Plus it’s cute.

Find a video to help with assembly
Although there were issues with the transaction, my bike finally arrived. Now that I’ve put it together and had a local shop tighten and check my work, I am sooo pleased with this bicycle. Sleek and comfortable. Smooth riding all around. I would suggest assembling using the manual alone that comes with it. And I could not find any video for this model specifically, and there really should be one. But after approx 9 hours, I finally had it put together. My wrists are not as strong as I thought and I was unable to tighten the seat and handlebars appropriately, but a local shop helped with that. The instructions for aligning the brakes were also apparently confusing. I had them perfect according to the shop that double checked my work for me, but not according to the instructions. So I guess I would also suggest getting a second opinion on your work after putting it together. And maybe have a professional deal with the brakes right from the get-go. And DO test drive in a highly secured area just in case the seat and handlebars come loose at the same time. Lol. Hey - everyone does know to do that, right? Overall I am THRILLED with the final product! Gotta go for a ride now 😊

Stylish bike at a great price, but knowledge of adjusting brakes and gears is required!
I ordered this bike because I like the look of a beach cruiser bike and because my husband and I decided that cycling would be a great way to lose weight and get back in shape. I remember when I was growing up that Schwinn was a very well known and well made bicycle--now the brand makes their bikes in China, and that is the kind of quality that you get today. The quality is just okay. The bike came partially assembled, but needed to have the front tire, handlebars, seat and peddles put on. This bike required A LOT more adjusting than the Kent Oakwood bike that we ordered for my husband, especially the front brakes. (We find the quality of his Kent bike to be far superior to my Schwinn, even though that too is made in China.) I just took it out for a ride and after many adjustments find that it has a fairly comfortable ride, but keep an allen key with you because you will find that the handlebars have to be tightened frequently, at least in the beginning, because no matter how tight we made them, they moved while riding. As a side note, I am 5'5" tall, but the Perla is actually a little too big for me--I guess I must have short legs. Also, another reason I ordered this particular bike is because it came with Prime shipping. I ordered both my and my husband's bikes on May 23. His guaranteed shipping was Wed., May 25 and arrived on time via UPS. My guaranteed shipping was Thursday, May 26, but instead of shipping via UPS, they shipped mine by Pilot freight who then handed delivery over to a local freight company in my area. The bike arrived June 2, which was disappointing because we wanted the bikes for a Memorial Day camping trip. Amazon did give me a partial refund for my inconvenience, but when I contacted customer service for Pilot to find out why the bike was going to be delivered so long after the promised delivery date, they copped out and blamed Amazon. I don't understand why they chose another shipping company over UPS as my bike was only being shipped from Orlando, FL to SC. My husband's bike arrived in better condition and quicker via UPS. My bike was double boxed and both boxes were open, though luckily no pieces were missing. Both bikes arrived without scratches or dents, and the application of the stickers on both is acceptable with very little bubbling.

Bent rim that made it through QC
Update 12/12/23 - Schwinn was excellent, they immediately jumped on the issues and replacement parts are already on the way! The bike seems to be pretty good quality, with great paint finish. I just unboxed (on 12/10/23) a schwinn that I bought for my wife as a Christmas present. We got it all assembled, and when we inflated the tires, the rear inner tube exploded. Oh well, stuff happens, went to Walmart and bought a new tube figuring that would be easier than waiting for one from Schwinn. After installing it we realized that the rim is badly bent and need to be replaced. There's no impact marks and the box wasn't damaged, it's just made wrong. I have reached out to Schwinn but unless they approve a replacement for the rear rim I'm stuck giving my wife an unrideable bike for Christmas.

Great bike great price
Found this on sale recommended by an influencer. Came in less than two weeks and very manageable to put together. The handle bars needed extra muscle power to tighten so they wouldn’t slip when pushing down on them, but other than that easy peasy. Appreciated that the breaks were already set up too because that’s usually the toughest part. Great bike for a preteen who’s outgrown their small bike or an adult and love the color. And added the cute basket.
