This is the motor oil I’ve been using on my old 1987 BMW L6 and even with 104 k miles it’s still running smooth and strong. I started using it when it was introduced.

It's oil. What can I say.

Could I buy this locally, probably... however I don't always find 10W-40 in most stores recently. Since I had a oil change coming up. I had been looking for this oil when ever I was out shopping at local stores and even the auto stores and didn't see this weight? I certainly didn't want to use a lower grade and yet I was not even finding the heavier 20/50 either. So like so many other items I checked on line and decided to purchase from Amazon. Not interested in wasting time and fuel to run around tying to locate something when I need it now. As to the oil, it seems to work well in my old 91 Chevy truck with a 5.7. with some minor engine mods. I will and have recommend this oil. 11/07/18 - I still use this oil in my older truck, still no issues. Also buying again from Amazon, I still have issues finding this weight 10/40 or the 20/50 in the local stores anymore, this included the auto stores, Walmart and several others. For me the 20/50 would work as well since the climate where I live has an average 115'F in the summer and winters are very mild.
