I have fibromyalgia with bilateral sciatica and SI joint disfunction. Among other physical issues. The reviews sold me on the combo set. The lumbar support and bum cushion are very comfortable and helpful. The lumbar provides enough support while still conforming to my back without adding tension. The cushion has actually allowed my hips to relax enough that I've felt them shift back into place. It provides the perfect amount of give and support it the rights spots. Back injuries take a long time and a lot of work to heal. The open space for the tail bone has definitely helped me keep posture in mind. Temperature wise it's better than most I've tried. I run hot (volcanic caldera down south 😂). I use it on a leather chair so my heat still builds up. It would probably be much better with a mesh chair as far as air flow is concerned. Durability wise, I've been using it 10hrs a day, 5 days a week since March in my home office. It hasn't lost it's shape or support and I'm 233lbs. My friend even asked about getting one for her office.

I found the seat cushion uncomfortable due to my piriformis syndrome (It was supportive but the cut-out area rubbed the area of my buttocks that has pain). I contacted the company and they sent me a cushion (sold for wheelchairs) that is a solid piece (no cut-0ut to conform to the shape of your behind). The wheelchair cushion is a bit more firm and a few inches deeper than the chair cushion which works out well for me as it protects the back of my legs from the edge of my wood dining room chairs. I found the wheelchair cushion to be very comfortable despite my piriformis problem. With many people working from home I think the "wheelchair" cushion may be a better option than the desk chair cushion in this set since it pads the area at the back of the leg. The back support (which comes in a set with the desk chair cushion is very supportive and the straps adapt to even a dining chair. I would definitely buy this again and I plan to see which style (desk chair or "wheelchair") works best work for my family members who work from home. If you are sitting at a wood dining room chair as I do, I definitely think the "wheelchair" version is the solution. (Perhaps they could sell it in a set with the back cushion and call it the "dining room chair " version. I plan to have my son try them both since he is working at his dining room table. I will say that customer service went above and beyond to help me. Photo #1 is the wheelchair cushion. Photo #2 is the desk chair version with the "cut-out".

After about a week with this set, I can share my initial observations. Both the cushion and the back support are well-made. Both are easy to use, and the outside material is soft. I like that you can take the covers off to wash them. I like the seat cushion, and it has been helping keep my sciatic pain at bay while in the car. The back support is too much for me in the car, along with the cushion, but I have not tried it anywhere else yet. The cushion moves a bit when I get into my SUV, but that may be because I have to lift myself and slide over. However, it does not move around once I am seated on it. It may not have that problem in a lower vehicle.

These cushions are very comfortable. It has a nice firmness balanced with cushioning. The cushion have not flattened out. They puff tight back up. Originally bought it for use in the car. It was a little too thick for me and made me sit too high and forward in my little Dodge Hornet. We repurposed it for a cushion on the bleachers at the football games. It has held up all season from September to December, looks like new.

Great quality, but very uncomfortable. Very firm and the contouring hits in all the wrong places creating excruciating pressure points. Might be acceptable for small build folks, but too small and too firm for average and above builds, in my opinion and experience.

My husband has been suffering from lower back pain, especially while driving, getting in and out of the car... He has problems with his L5S1. He has been using this cushion for about a week now, and has noticed some improvement. There is less pain and getting in and out of the car is much easier.
